I am a contemporary printmaker and woodcut artist whose work draws profound inspiration from the German Expressionist movement. I have developed a distinctive graphic language that fuses bold concepts with a keen exploration of colour and form — blending personal expression with traditional techniques to create evocative, powerful prints.
My apprenticeship is in printmaking, with a specialisation in woodcut — both colour and black-and-white. I am equally versed in etching, drypoint, linocut, and lithography, including polyester and stone lithography, and continue to push explorations in all these mediums.
I am particularly drawn to Fauvism, Abstract Graphic Motion, and Abstract Art Works. Artists who move me deeply include Joan Miró, Vassily Kandinsky, Henri Matisse, and Marcel Duchamp. I am also a musician under training — and I try to transcend musical experience into my graphic compositions.
My larger vision is to create a visual language with scope to develop our education system — I believe the projects I am undertaking will open significant research in pedagogy. Art without barriers. Flying high is not a metaphor.
